VIJAYAWADA: Supporting the statement of Union Minister for Human Resources Daggubati Purandareswari, who described Chief Minister Y S Rajsekhar Reddy as the person who has been fulfilling the ideals of former Chief Minister and her father NT Rama Rao, Kankipadu MLA Devineni Rajasekhar said here on Wednesday that Reddy was the real heir to NTR. Speaking to newsmen here, the MLA said Reddy had introduced free power supply to farmers, distributed white ration cards, taken up housing programme and was going to introduce Rs 2-a-kilo rice scheme.
He objected to the TDP leader's concern over the statements of NTR's daughter at Ghantasala village in Krishna district on December 14.
He wondered how TDP men could claim NTR as their founder when Babu came to power by backstabbing him. The MLA said that the TDP leaders had humiliated NTR by throwing chappals at him.
The MLA alleged that Chandrababu Naidu had withdrawn all welfare schemes introduced by NTR after he came to power.
